The last of our merino
We started back in August 2018 with Altai goat hair — the soft, fuzzy kind that makes a pair of our socks feel like nothing else in your drawer. It's what we've made ever since.
Last summer we decided to expand our fiber horizons a little, and added merino sheep wool.

You were so lovely about it. And then we realized that goat hair and merino sheep wool are completely different “animals.”
So merino is getting a new home of its own — a different look, a different thickness. We'll keep you posted.
Where these designs came from
Before they go, we wanted to tell you where a few of them started. None of them came from a trend board.

Fall Foxes came from afternoons at the family cabin, watching whatever wandered past the window.
Lone Howl is our family's adventures in Alaska, worked into a sock.
Floral Flame is nasturtiums — Elizabeth and Linda share a love of gardening, and it shows.
Amethyst Weave comes from the fair-isle patterns Aleks grew up around, worked here in purples.
Boho Beauty is Linda's flower-child colours, which have never once been subtle.

Most of these designs aren't going anywhere — we're bringing them over to goat hair, so you'll see them again. It's the merino itself that won't be back: this yarn, this weight, this feel. If that's the one you had your eye on, now's the time.
Thank you, as always, for wearing what we make.
